Thoughts on waiting for a bus in Santa Monica to take me to LAX
Is it better to be able to see a long way down the road a bus will be coming from, since that means you'll get to see it soonest, even though you might have a long wait for it to subsequently actually arrive once you've seen it, and even though if you can't see the bus yet you know it can't possibly come for at least X minutes; or, is it better if you can't see much at all where the bus is coming from, since it might potentially come at any moment, and since once you see it it'll practically be there already, even though you'll have a wait of an additional X minutes before you know it's coming; or, given that the bus will come at the same time either way, am I losing my marbles?
